On 19 December, the new Immigration Minister Kevin Foster visited Heathrow Terminal 5 to meet with Border Force officers.
He met officers processing arrivals through the terminal and watched how passenger flow is managed through the e-Gates.
He was also shown how technology is used to monitor goods passing through the terminal and how officers detect any attempts to smuggle illegal drugs into the UK.
Fantastic to visit @HeathrowAirport yesterday ahead of the Christmas getaway and meet the dedicated Border Force officers who secure our borders.
Great to meet Milo the spaniel too! pic.twitter.com/iz7mrFqHlg

He also met Milo the spaniel who was working hard to detect any cash that might be involved in money laundering prior to a departing flight.
