Home Office in the media

Today's Home Office media coverage includes further reports on funding for the Metropolitan Police investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Madeleine McCann investigation

The Mirror, Express, Star, Sun and Independent report that police investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann have been granted additional funding by the Home Office. The papers say a source close to the Metropolitan Police investigation told the Sunday Times that they are hunting for a "person of significance" in a new "critical line of inquiry". The Express reports that after having feared the investigation could end, her parents Gerry and Kate McCann said they were “extremely thankful to the Home Office and Scotland Yard”.

Our statement on the additional funding is available here.

Questions about the ongoing investigation should go to the Metropolitan Police.
