Today (Sunday 17 February) the Home Secretary, Sajid Javid, wrote in the Times regarding the UK Government’s approach to dealing with returnees from the conflict zone in Syria.
The Home Secretary set out the government’s options for managing returnees, including stripping individuals of British citizenship where appropriate; use of terrorism prevention and investigation measures (TPIMs); and prosecuting individuals for offences under the recently-passed Counter-Terrorism and Border Security Act.
